We rested well last night and gathered for breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards, Mopsy led us in a devotional based on Ecclesiastes 3, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven..." She realized that though her luggage didn't make it to Tapachula, she still had been provided everything she needed, including a new idea for a this devotional! We each made a list of five things that we thought we needed for this trip. Our items included:
reliance on God
the rest of the team
a heart for children
a servant's heart
willingness to be open
laughter
a plan/schedule (flexible!)
material and spiritual gifts for the children
basic necessities (creature comforts)
Mopsy emphasized how important it is for us to live in the HERE and NOW, unburdened by things back home or things in the past, and not being concerned with what might happen tomorrow.
After the devotional, we went to the girls home and were greeted by smiling, sweet faces! It was so awesome to see them and get to know them again. Many have been here for years; others have been living at this home for just a few months. We enjoyed our time with them, reading to them and playing games. Then we had lunch with them and it was time to get them to school.

The three ladies who lost their luggage got to go back to the airport and recover it.
Now we are preparing for eight of the oldest girls to come to our hotel tonight for a "slumber party." These girls range in age from 10 to 14. We will swim in the pool, eat pizza and snacks, make jewelry and have manicures. Then Reddan will give a special devotional just for them about affirmations, confidence and self-esteem.
